Default Very important message - Net Neutrality

Your freedom to post on whatever forum you like is being threatened

The internet is changing. The world's biggest internet providers are creating a system in which they can decide which sites you have access to, and which you don't.

This means: those who have the cash will have popular websites. And sites that start off small, like eBay or Wikipedia did, will not be able to get anywhere. This is massive discrimination and censorship.

We are just a small group of students, but with your help, we can stop this.
How? By making people aware of it.

More info on: http://www.movielol.com .
We use this website to spread the word and make videoclips that document our threatened internet culture, the first clip is about funny cats.

While this is a spam post techincally, I really think it's an issue more people need to be informed about. So please do check out the website and find out what it's about. It's an issue that affects all internet users.

For even more information about what this is about please also see:

I'm sure it's very scary and all, but I'm not going to let myself lose sleep over it.

LOL, I only mention it here as it seems many don't know about it. As someone who runs and manages a website and appreciates things like blogs, the small business owner, information sites and more it is something to at least keep informed about.

As someone who uses the internet everyday, it's also something that I keep abreast of.

For useful info you can also visit http://irrepressible.info/ - the Amnesty International site on net freedom and also the EFF have some good stuff.

I've been actively fighting for net neutrality through moveon.org. We are currently over 3,000,000 strong.

Freedom, like demoncracy, is not a spectator sport. It's important that you participate in maintaining your own internet freedom. Thank you.

And thank you Reese for bringing it to the attention of such a large audience as this forum appeals to, and thank you Inde for supporting Reese's appeal.
